Una delegación del Comité Supremo de Entrega y Legado del Mundial de Qatar 2022 visitó a las autoridades de la Asociación del Fútbol Argentino (AFA) en el predio de Ezeiza para tratar temas organizativos de la competencia a falta de 36 días para el partido inaugural en el estadio Al Bayt.
Los ejecutivos qataríes, de gira en Latinoamérica por los países clasificados para la Copa del Mundo de la FIFA, fueron recibidos por el prosecretario Luciano Nakis, con quien intercambiaron presentes, se informó oficialmente.
Los miembros del Comité Supremo le entregaron la medalla oficial del Mundial y se llevaron camisetas del seleccionado argentino con el número 10 y el dorsal de Lionel Messi.
Entre los temas abordados, estuvo la fuerte presencia de hinchas argentinos durante el mes de competencia, del 20 de noviembre al 18 de diciembre, un hecho comprobable con la compra de todas las entradas para los tres partidos de la primera fase ante Arabia Saudita, México y Polonia.

A propósito, los integrantes del Comité Supremo también estuvieron reunidos con un grupo de fanáticos de la "Albiceleste" que viajará para la primera Copa a realizarse en el Mundo Árabe.
La comitiva celebró la pasión por el fútbol que existe en Argentina y prometió que los hinchas vivirán una experiencia única en Qatar, según contaron a Télam fuentes de la reunión.
Durante su estadía en el país, los funcionarios de Qatar 2022 también fueron recibidos por el Embajador del Estado de Qatar en Buenos Aires, S.E. Battal Al Dosari.
