Muchos deportistas eligen las redes sociales para mostrar cómo atraviesan su cuarentena por el coronavirus y qué actividades realizan para no alejarse de su disciplina durante el aislamiento. Tal es el caso de la golfista Paige Spiranac, quien ha exhibido en las redes sociales un video que encantó a sus admiradores.

La ex jugadora profesional de 27 años publicó en video para sus más de 2 millones de seguidores en Instagram en el que se la ve practicando tiros con el Putter en su casa. "Me encanta el putting porque se trata de sentir y confiar. No hay una forma correcta o incorrecta de agarrar el putter. ¡Aquí están algunas de mis favoritas! Avísame si me olvidé alguna", escribió Spiranac en su publicación.

En las imágenes se le va empujando la bola al hoyo con distintos perfiles (mano derecha o mano izquierda abajo), tomando el palo con un dedo como si fuera un gancho, incluso pegándole caminando y animándose a algunos movimientos más osados: con el putter en su escote, agachada, de espaldas, imitando un golpe de billar y hasta con ayuda de su perro.

"Solo quiero seguir publicando contenido realmente alegre para las personas durante este tiempo, y tratar de ser una luz positiva para ellos porque sé lo difícil que puede ser. Cualquier cosa que pueda distraer a la gente de lo que está sucediendo porque da mucho miedo", dijo al New York The Post.

Antes de sumarse al aislamiento masivo por el COVID-19, Paige Spiranac hizo una grave denuncia. Siempre fue criticada por "sexualizar el golf femenino" y principios de marzo reveló que le prohibieron participar en un evento benéfico por su apariencia.

"Su contestación fue, 'Nos encantaría, pero, por la forma en que los miembros de nuestra junta te ven, no puedes ayudar'. Yo quiero ayudar a los niños que no tienen nada, porque yo crecí sin tener nada. Pero no lo puedo hacer por mi escote", reveló.

Spiranac comenzó jugando al golf como junior en Colorado, Estados Unidos, y llegó a ser una de las 20 mejores jugadoras del mundo. Incluso, fue elegida para el primer equipo All-American como miembro del Future Collegians World Tour. Luego, continuó en la Universidad de Arizona y la Universidad Estatal de San Diego, en donde ganó los honores All-Mountain West durante las temporadas 2012-13 y 2013-14.
